Is Truth Stranger than Fiction? You Decide
As any parent of a college-bound high school student can attest, truth can sometimes be stranger than fiction. In the process of applying to colleges, many families have experienced enough ups and downs to literally fill the pages of a book. Author Karen Stabiner has used some of those real-life stories as inspiration for her new novel, “Getting In,” which tells the story of five fictional high school seniors making the journey toward college.

Albert Camus's novel, The Stranger, and Samuel Beckett's play, Waiting for Godot, are both great literary works but has many differences and similarities that distinguish the two. These characters are very different from their society and in that same way the are very similar. To understand in what ways they are similar, there must be and understanding of how they are different from the society in which they live in.

1/- Jotting down points. Make a rough sketch or note of all that you want to put into as many statement of purpose essays as you can think of. Unless you get it off your chest, you are not going to be able to come up with the best points for your essay. Instead of trying to filter the points and put down only what is necessary, the better thing would be to just put the whole thing down as you keep thinking of it.

Book Review: “The Next Thing On My List”
I think readers will agree with me that “The Next Thing on My List” is a wonderfully written heartwarming story about a woman’s self-discovery that will have you hooked from the very first page. Jill Smolinski knows and understands her audience and delivers a winner with her second novel.

The story centers around a 34-year-old woman, June Parker, who is living aimlessly and without passion. Her life completely changes when she attends a Weight Watchers meeting and offers one of the other members, Marissa a ride home. Marissa is upbeat and celebrating her 100-lb weight loss. As she is reaching into the back seat to get June her favorite taco soup recipe, the truck in front of them suddenly loses a dresser off the back. To avoid a collision with the dresser, June swerves and flips the car over. June is banged up, but okay. Marissa is not so lucky; she does not survive the car crash. After the accident, June finds a list with 20 things on it that Marissa wanted to accomplish before her 25th birthday. Only two items are crossed off &ndash lose 100 lbs, and wear sexy shoes. June finds purpose in her life as she works on completing the other 18 items in Marissa’s honor. The list includes simple things like kiss a stranger and eat ice cream in public, to more complicated items like change someone’s life and pitch an idea at work.

Why Learn Swedish?

Aside from the possibility of living in Sweden or Finland (where Swedish is an official second language), or meeting someone important who knows to speak only in Swedish, you’re probably looking for other reasons to convince you to go through the trouble of learning it as a second language.

How to choose a career

How to choose a career
How to choose a career
Finding a job is not the same as finding a career. A career is a broad field in which I would like to work in; unlike a job which is just a task that I am getting paid for. In order to find a career that I absolutely love I have to think of myself, not my family and/ or friends. The most important choice that I have to decide, in order for me to be happy with my life and also be successful, is to think about myself and my decision. I just have to know how my decision will affect the people around me. I believe that I’d thoroughly consider every aspect of what makes me happy. Treasured attributes that I would apply to make my choice are wealth, respect, and caring for others and my varying interests.
