Virginia Schools Offer Summer Programs
An article about the various summer programs available to students in Virginia Public Schools was written recently. The school system is to be commended for recognizing the needs of its students and implementing programs that will best serve their needs. But how does a summer program truly meet the needs of the students?
Well, the most obvious is that a good summer program keeps the kids of Virginia Schools off the streets and involved in something beneficial. Virginia Sch...

Orlando Schools To Improve Literacy
Let’s Read, Seminole! is a summer reading program that Orlando Public Schools got behind this summer. The Orlando Schools took a bus, painted it red, ripped the seats out and installed book shelves. The bus was then crammed with books for kids ages 5 to 18. Orlando Schools students can keep the books they take off the bus, or they can bring them back and get more. What an awesome program!

A Day At The Park
A couple of months ago I went to the park with my nephew. I remember the day like is was yesterday. The weather was cool and clouds were overhead. I sat by myself and watched him play and watched everything happen around me. I wasn’t expecting to find so many interesting things just watching people, but amazed at what I did discover. Children were all over the place and were wearing coats that had their favorite characters on them. A girl had purple mittens with a teletubby on them and a boy had a blue coat with Thomas the Train on it. One small boy with green eyes had a hat with a ball on the top.

Tips to Write a Comparative Essay
Comparative Essay- Guidelines
Comparative essays are written to compare and correctly analyse similar and dissimilar characteristics of any two given objects. The writer may be asked to discuss for or against a certain given point while comparing two objects, or may be asked to ‘compare’ two books, places, objects or people. Just make sure that you choose two themes that are related and therefore can be compared, in the essay.
How Run-on Sentences can Undermine an Essay & How to Correct Them
A run-on sentence doesn't always necessarily sound like a bad thing to a student: "So I went on a little long. Who cares?" Well, actually, it's more than just going on for longer than one should. It's actually combining two or more sentences into one long incorrect sentence that should actually be joined in a different way or broken into more parts. A run-on sentence can be either a fused sentence or a comma splice. While basically the two have the same problem, they are slightly different.
The Problems of the Fused Sentence
Summer Camp And Saving the Planet
It is not often that you combine summer camp with saving the planet, but that is what is happening Colorado these days. Not only do the kids get a great summer camp, but their summer activities have less impact on the planet, and they also learn to be eco-friendly.
